At the top of the page are Gemaras and other \u003cem\u003ema'arei mekomos\u003c\/em\u003e from Chazal related to the specific paragraph of text, and at the bottom a commentary called \u003cem\u003eV'sein\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003eChelkeinu\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cem\u003eB'Sorasecha\u003c\/em\u003e, based on the \u003cem\u003echiddushim\u003c\/em\u003e of Rav Moshe Shapiro on the Siddur. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThough Rav Moshe never gave \u003cem\u003eshiurim\u003c\/em\u003e on the Siddur per se, he had complete mastery of the Siddur, in all its \u003cem\u003enusachos\u003c\/em\u003e. Anyone who ever had the privilege of hearing him daven can attest to the centrality of \u003cem\u003etefillah\u003c\/em\u003e to everything he did. In his \u003cem\u003eshiurim\u003c\/em\u003e, he frequently cited different \u003cem data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003enusachos hatefillah \u003c\/em\u003eas prooftexts for concepts he was developing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThe new Siddur appears in time for Rav Shapiro’s fifth yahrtzeit on Asarah B'Teves\u003cem data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e, \u003c\/em\u003eand is one of a plethora of new publications based on his Torah. Some years ago, Rabbi Akiva Tatz told me that he has gathered over 16,000 \u003cem\u003eshiurim\u003c\/em\u003e of Rav Moshe. And these shiurim are not only being listened to by thousands – my oldest grandson enjoys sharing with me every comment on “\u003cem data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eitonayim v’k’eleh\u003c\/em\u003e” Rav Moshe directed to me in a \u003cem\u003echabura\u003c\/em\u003e on \u003cem\u003eperek Cheilek\u003c\/em\u003e – but many sets of \u003cem\u003eshiurim\u003c\/em\u003e – e.g., \u003cem\u003ePirke Avos\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eHilchos De'os\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003ePerek Chelek\u003c\/em\u003e – are being prepared by \u003cem\u003etalmidim\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eRav Aharon Lopiansky and Rav Yehoshua Hartman, two of Rav Moshe’s closest \u003cem\u003etalmidim\u003c\/em\u003e, who have between them brought twenty or so annotated volumes of Maharal to print, have both written effusive \u003cem\u003ehaskomos\u003c\/em\u003e for Rabbi Roll’s Siddur HaTalmud.
